SOUND DESIGN
At A-Bomb, we believe that a great soundtrack must provide a subtext which reinforces the narrative of a film.

We define sound design as the creative use of any sound within a given context. This broad definition ranges from the manipulation of literal spot effects to sound bigger, better, or hyper-real, (eg Terry Gilliam's Nike Secret Tournament and Renault Mégane Rain), to increasingly creative sound design which speaks a metaphorical language, flowing and communicating in exactly the same way that music and pictures do, (eg the must see epic Don Quatro).

So, great sound design goes way beyond cutting and pasting from an exhaustive library of effects.  It is an art, distilled from a love for the heritage of music and audio production, an understanding of film-making, a fluency in the language of sound and an esteem for the very latest and most obscure developments in audio manipulation software and techniques.
