By chance, our recording schedule coincided with the UK leg of drumming virtuoso Earl Harvin's European tour and he scored the emphatic track to picture for us between shows.
To achieve an authentic sound, our favourite engineer mic'd and amplified a vintage Grestsch jazz drum kit to correspond aurally with legendary sound engineer Rudy Van Gelder's classic Blue Note recordings. In fact, the session turned into a bit of a reunion so it was huge fun.
