MUSIC STRATEGY ... / the work
Fundamental to A-Bomb’s success is early and far-reaching collaboration with our clients to devise clear, identifiable music strategies for brands to support and enhance their communications. We offer a highly respected, independent and lateral thinking music supervision service for licensing tracks as well as originating and A&R’ing commissioned works from selected musicians, composers, music producers and established artistes.
For Nike, A-Bomb proposed a stylistic departure from the brand ’s previous campaign music in the form of an edgy electronic score for Addicted. The commercial soundtrack commission was subsequently extended to include a full-length version and remix to coincide with the Nike+ multi award-winning interactive communication strategy in association with i-Tunes.
Working on brand films for Orange and Johnnie Walker, both Fallon and Bartle Bogle Hegarty respectively invited A-Bomb to partner their creative teams at script stage to develop deliberate and exceptional music treatments. |
"I think it was John Hegarty who first told me that music is usually given about 8% of the production time but can easily contribute 80% over all.
With this in mind you need people who can decipher the ramblings of a creative who thinks he knows how to be eloquent about music, but clearly doesn't.
You need people who have the ability to constantly surprise you no matter how impossible the brief, number of swaying opinions or ridiculous the timings.
In short, if I don't have A-Bomb involved, I worry."

"It's always a pleasure to work with A-Bomb. Their strength lies in connecting with creative teams to devise and execute smart, creative music strategies. They are more than just another music-to-picture company and their work illustrates how their music is intrinsically linked to the story, the situation and the environment of each spot.
Their understanding of the bigger picture and their ability to deliver creative music solutions is invaluable.
Not only do they deliver on a creative level, but also on a practical level, respecting the clients needs and pressing deadlines. The work they did for Nike and Coca-Cola really reflects how well they understand the creative idea and translate that into music."

"I will work with music companies other than
A-Bomb.
Sometimes I have to.
Can't say I like it though. I always end up at the end of a project wondering what could have been.
A-Bomb never disappoint and they often amaze.
They just get it."
